Last week, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in U.S. vs Skretti, a case concerning a Tennessee law banning gender-affirming care for minors. The central question: do such bans violate the Equal Protection clause? Three friends of the pod, journalist Lisa Selin Davis, writer and activist Ben Appel, and clinic whistle-blower-turned-activist Jamie Reed, are just back from Washington, DC, where they were in the middle of the action outside the court and inside the press room. They kindly took time out of their Saturday afternoons to share their impressions, opinions, and prognostications. An illuminating conversation!
